Shopping with a Purpose
It’s not everyday in Singapore that pop-up stores happen, showcasing your favourite online brands in a quaint little corner of Dempsey Hill. Don’t get me wrong, I love online shopping as much as the next girl, so what is so different about this pop-up that would get you out of your PJs on a weekend? (Other than a glass of free bubbly, of course).
Give/50 is a multi brand, flash retain concept started by Mili Kale, allowing you to shop your favs, whilst giving back to charity. Mili sources amazing fashion pieces from brands such as Illesteva, Perverse, Molasasa, Adornmonde etc, brings them to Singapore so that you get your fashion fix, avoid outrageous shipping costs AND at the same time, are able to give back to charity.
Give/50 works with a non-profit in India, known as the Nai Disha Educational and Cultural Foundation. They focus on educating children and providing them with equal opportunity, despite their socioeconomic background, and to help them raise funds, Give/50 will provide 50% of their profits from every sale to Nai Disha.
I know I love shopping from these brands already, and knowing that half of what I spend will go towards ensuring better education for children, makes it that much more sweeter.
Watch this space for more brands you can find at the pop-up & the event details.
