Chef-Owner Ryan Clift has taken dining to another level at Tippling Club. He has developed a very inviting space, with alcohol bottles dangling from the ceiling, to an open kitchen. You can literally feel the vibe from the chefs in the kitchen, whilst dining in an intimate setting. Its tough to explain – something you have to experience to understand.

The 5- or 10-course menu is categorised as ‘modern-gastronomy’ and each course was served with a quirky scientific element to it. Right up my alley, as you can imagine.

1st Course: Snacks

Crispy prawn cracker on a bed of organic sea salt

Lava lamp gazpacho

This was extremely exciting (& delicious) for obvious reasons.

Also very exciting due to the tweezers as cutlery.

2nd Course:

Crab

with nashi pear, shiso puree, yuzu & soy gel.

Scallops

with parsley root & purple garlic soup.

Seared Kingfish

with roasted cauliflower puree, fermented & fried cauliflower, marsala veloute & raisin gel.

Lamb A’ La Francais

with confit pearl onions, lamb bacon, mint & onion puree.
