With twinkling stars in the ceiling of the cabin, a full bed and pyjamas to keep you comfortable, there’s not much to complain about.

Meal services & a full fledged bar are available around the clock with a wide range of food & beverage choices, depending on where you are departing from and landing to.

Our flight took off from Singapore Changi Airport and was due to land in JFK, with a 3 hour transit in Abu Dhabi. However, due to unpredictable delays, we were in transit for 7 hours. Having access to the Etihad lounge was key at this point. They had an amazing Six Senses Spa, which was exciting: 1, because we were bored with 7 hours to kill, and 2, because it reminded us of the Six Senses Maldives.

I really wanted to get a massage on that giant hot stone, but seeing as we did not have any prior reservations, it was fully booked. So, we opted for a 25 minute head & back massage and a shower settled for a picture of the room instead. Let me just say, I have never had 25 minutes of bliss like that before.

After 7 hours, it was then off to the A380 for our flight from Abu Dhabi to NYC.

Thanks to Etihad for the amazing experience.
